Check your product and order
Start with the guide for your exact device and revision.
Package contents
Compare the contents with the packing list supplied with your order. Power adapters, cables, ports and accessories vary by product; do not assume every THOX device includes the same items.
Before powering on
Record the model and hardware revision, and inspect the enclosure, cables and connectors. If anything is damaged, contact support with your order reference before using the device.
Account and device registration
Sign in to your THOX account and open Dashboard > Devices. Registration records the device in your account; it does not establish a network connection or confirm warranty eligibility.
Set up your device
Use the supplied instructions for power, boot and pairing.
Placement and power
Follow the device guide for ventilation and the required power supply. Check the voltage, connector and supported power profile before substituting an adapter.
Network connection
Use the network method supported by your device and software release. If Ethernet is supported, it can help isolate a Wi-Fi issue during setup.
Boot and recovery
Interpret LEDs and boot timing using the guide for your hardware revision. Do not use a generic reset-button sequence; confirm its effect on your data before recovery.
Connect to your network
Check the actual address and connection state.
Find the device
Use the address shown in the device setup flow or your router client list. The hostname, port and protocol are deployment-specific; the website dashboard is not a local device admin console.
Wi-Fi settings
Use the device or operating-system network settings documented for your release. Keep network passwords out of chat, shell history and support screenshots.
MeshStack connections
Signing in to the control plane does not establish a peer connection. An adapter can be Running while the peer remains Connecting; check the peer handshake and connection status separately.
Connect your development tools
Configure an integration that your client and endpoint both support.
Choose an endpoint
For hosted ThoxLLM Cloud, use https://llm.thox.ai/v1 with an eligible inference key. For a local service, use the endpoint supplied by its administrator.
Check client compatibility
Use the client provider settings for an OpenAI-compatible chat endpoint where supported. Confirm the model identifier, authentication method and supported features before sending a request.
Limit shared context
Review which files and messages the client will send. A hosted endpoint receives that context; an editor connection does not make inference local.
Use your THOX account
Keep website account settings separate from device administration.
Use the website Sign in flow and your own account credentials. There is no shared device administrator password documented by this website.
Account tools
Dashboard > Devices records your devices. Dashboard > API Keys manages eligible ThoxLLM Cloud keys. Subscriptions and preorders have separate dashboard pages.
Device administration
Open only the device management URL provided in your setup instructions. Model installation, firmware changes and local network settings depend on the installed product and release.
Open Devices or API Keys in your account.
