Engineering preview

ThoxOS Linux kernel and operating system

The upcoming Linux-based ThoxOS operating-system line brings together the kernel, desktop environment and local runtime experience. The planned first engineering previews are ThoxOS Desk for ThoxKey Pro and ThoxOS Desk for ThoxMini v100. These are development targets, not public downloads or production releases.

  • Same ThoxOS family across desktop, device, and Desk images.
  • Local-first by default. Hosted connections stay explicit.
  • Preview features and compatibility are still being tested.

Questions

Is ThoxOS a separate product from MeshStack?
Yes. ThoxOS is the device intelligence and UX layer. MeshStack is the private mesh. ThoxWork is the coming workspace layer. Those are the three platform layers.
Where does ThoxBeam fit?
ThoxBeam is the drive-resident runtime engine that ships on ThoxKey and extends ThoxOS. It is not a fourth platform.
Can I download ThoxOS today?
Desktop builds exist for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Release access and installation guidance vary by platform. Mobile, store-delivered and device-specialized builds are coming soon; this page does not publish installers.
What is ThoxOS Desk?
ThoxOS Desk is the engineering preview of the upcoming ThoxOS Linux kernel and operating system. The planned first previews are ThoxOS Desk for ThoxKey Pro and ThoxOS Desk for ThoxMini v100. They are not presented here as public downloads or production releases.
Does every ThoxOS build have the same capabilities?
No. Desktop ThoxOS exposes all seven navigation planes today. Specialized device builds and the ThoxOS Desk engineering preview vary by surface, and capabilities are not guaranteed to match the desktop build one to one yet.
Is the iOS companion preview a working mobile app?
It is a native iOS development screenshot of the ThoxAir workspace preview. Device control is not active in this preview, and it is not proof of a released or connected device.
