Getting Started
Set up the THOX product you have, connect it correctly, and choose a runtime or website demo.
Choose your THOX setup
Identify the product and release
Start with the product name, hardware model, installed software version and host operating system. Power, ports and setup steps differ across THOX devices; use the instructions supplied for that model.
Prepare the device
Use the power supply and cable specified for your device. Keep its ventilation clear and follow its guide for placement and startup indicators.
Start device setup
Open the THOX setup page or the setup link supplied with your device. Follow the account and device steps shown there. Signing in to the website does not by itself enroll a device or establish a private network connection.
Choose what you want to try
ThoxOS runs and manages intelligence at the device layer. MeshStack connects device identities and network access. ThoxWork is Coming Soon; the ThoxEmployee and EdgeLab website demos are available as separate experiences.
Connect to the right network
Use the supported connection
Follow your device guide for Wi-Fi, Ethernet or a host connection. Check which interfaces your model supports before buying adapters or changing network settings.
Find the correct address
Use the address shown during setup or in the device application. If your network administrator provides a device address, confirm it matches your device. There is no single hostname or API port for every THOX product.
Check MeshStack separately
The MeshStack console can show device registration and recent activity. A signed-in account or an online device record does not prove that a native tunnel or peer handshake is working.
Keep network credentials private
Enter Wi-Fi passwords only in the supported setup flow. Share the error message and connection type with support, without passwords, access tokens or private keys.
Complete your first session
Follow the device prompts
Use the startup instructions and indicators documented for your model. If startup stops, record the displayed message and software version before changing settings.
Set up access
Use the account or device credentials established by your setup flow. Do not assume a shared administrator username or password.
Check the runtime and model
Confirm which runtime is selected and whether the model runs on your device or through a hosted service. Model downloads, storage requirements and supported formats depend on that runtime.
Try a small example
Use a short, non-sensitive prompt first. Review the result and any displayed provider information. A successful response does not grant permission to run commands or control a device.
Connect a development tool
Choose a supported connector
Use the integration instructions published for the tool and THOX release you have installed. Verify the publisher and supported versions before installing an extension or package.
Set the actual connection details
Use the endpoint, model identifier and authentication settings from your runtime configuration. A local endpoint and a hosted endpoint have different data paths.
Review access before connecting
Check which files, repositories and tools the connector can access. Start with a small test project and grant only the permissions required for the task.
Review generated changes
Inspect code and run the checks appropriate to your project before accepting generated work. Model output and tool access are separate decisions.
